Clarkston, MI Engagement :: Andrea and Jason

For Andrea and Jason's engagement session, we decided to try something unique. Instead of having one session that lasts over an hour, we've decided to divide our time into three mini shoots that will capture each of the three seasons that precede their wedding this coming October.

Our first meeting was for a rustic Winter session, complete with freshly fallen snow and one of Clarkston's oldest historical barns. The setting was picture-perfect, just like the couple!

Redondo Beach, CA Headshots :: Cheyenne

In October I was able to sneak away to visit my best friend and fellow photographer Cheyenne in California. We traveled across the state for football games, kayaking, shopping and site seeing, and on our last day together we absolutely had to make time for a photo session at Redondo Pier.

In addition to her talents behind the camera, Cheyenne is an amazing dancer. She was in need of new head shots for upcoming auditions and I had been hoping to have new photos taken of myself as well, so we wandered around the pier and took turns using my camera to snap photos of each other. It was one of the best afternoons I've had in a long time. It's hard to be so far away from my dear friend, but photos like these are a great way to remember the fun we have when we're together.

Enjoy!

Toward the end of our shoot, a passerby stopped and asked if we wanted a photo taken together. Of course we did!

Madison Heights, MI Family Session :: Brandon, Katie & Annalynn

This was my third family session with Brandon, Katie and Annalynn. I still can't believe how big Annalynn has gotten since our first meeting! I had a lot of fun capturing some holiday photos of this sweet little family.

Rochester Hills, MI Maternity Session :: Lindsey and Duane

I may be biased since they're friends of mine, but I knew from the moment that Lindsey told me she was expecting that she and Duane would be amazing parents. Watching your friend become a mother is a bizarre and wonderful experience. Things change, most certainly for the better, and all of a sudden there's a tiny, brand new person to love.

The location for this maternity session is the same city where Lindsey met Duane. Our first stop was the Rochester Cider Mill, because pumpkins and baby bumps just go so well together. We also made sure to visit the same secluded, wooded spot where Duane popped the question more than two years ago. It seemed fitting, since that's where this little family began.

Novi, MI Family Session :: The Nagarah Family

I met the adorable Nagarah family at Lakeshore Park in Novi, which proved to be the perfect location for a Fall photo session. I had so much fun following these two brothers around and watching them interact with each other. The cuteness was out of control.

Davison, MI Engagement :: Dan and Consuelo

When I first met Dan and Consuelo for their engagement session, I could tell we'd hit it off. We chatted about being U of M fans and how we both have loved ones who have served in the Marine Corps. What I loved the most about meeting these two is how obviously in love they are. As soon as they started talking about their big day next June, it was obvious how excited they are to be man and wife. That's what I see every time I look at these photos.
